We are excited to share that our Director of Therapy Content, Rita Solórzano, will be presenting at the Profectum Conference in late October. This year, the conference will focus on “the lifespan of autism, from infancy to young adulthood where relationships are the essential human experience that pave the way to a meaningful future.”
Rita will present research about the use of the Floreo Police Safety Module as a tool to help improve police safety in adolescents and adults with ASD. Floreo’s Police Safety Module provides a safe environment for individuals to practice communicating with officers, as this is often a concern for those with ASD.
As a result of this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Describe how virtual reality technology is opening new doors for individuals with autism to learn and practice critical life skills
- Define the key skills a person should have when interacting with law enforcement in the community
- Describe how virtual reality technology allows individuals with profound motor planning and/or social anxiety to function more successfully during training session
If you are a presenter or attendee at the Profectum Conference, we would love to connect with you! Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are interested in attending on October 28th and 29th, you can still register by clicking here.
