We were thrilled to be invited to present Floreo to a small gathering held by The Language Link, a group of speech-language pathologists dedicated to serving children with speech, language, social pragmatic, and executive functioning needs in Montgomery County, MD and Washington DC. Our Director of Content, Rita Solórzano, recently joined a group of teens who meet regularly to practice their social skills with guidance from Aviva Krauthammer, an SLP at The Language Link, and their parents.
With parents’ permission, each of the four participants tried a Floreo lesson. They all reported that they enjoyed the app, which included samples of the Police Safety, Aquarium, Safari scene (designed for the joint attention lessons), and Breathing Train lessons. Several parents who were following along remarked that the police and peer interaction experiences would both be valuable for their sons. We also loved hearing suggestions for lessons we should develop next.
Our thanks to Aviva and The Language Link for setting this up! We appreciate the opportunity to gather feedback on Floreo from a live audience. We are looking forward to working together again soon, and can’t wait to hear more great suggestions for new lessons we should develop!
If you represent an organization in the Washington DC area that would benefit from having a live Floreo demonstration, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are not in the DC area but would like a Floreo demo video call, we would love to hear from you too!
If you are ready to try Floreo, you can download it from the iOS store today.
